Quarantine Capable

Not all facilities have the infrastructure to quarantine, but quarantine capability is particularly important for facilities that are working with meat. Meat Cold Store understands this, so we have included the ability to quarantine within our software. Everything from marking a product as quarantined in your system and recording where it was placed, to integrating your security cameras and key cards can be done within the Meat Cold Store system.

Weight Variables

Weight Variables

When a carton comes in, often its weight can be different from the label. While GS1 barcodes are automatically entered into a field with Meat Cold Store, we understand the importance of a manual override for situations such as these. Carcases and cartons scanned into inventory can have ticket weight and weight at time received. Groups of carcases and cartons can be weighed together, without scanning, and can be weighed by average of the received lot. They can be viewed as a price per carcase/carton or price per kilo.

Traceability

Having detailed information about where all of your stock has come from and what has happened to it is necessary for anyone working with meat, both for compliance and to ensure that if something goes wrong you know where and when it happened. Meat Cold Store is integrated with the systems of various industry bodies, such as GS1 and the Department of Agriculture, and capable of handling the data for the movement of all your product.

Whether you're exporting, importing, bond storing or just processing meat, there are various industry bodies you need to comply with. Meat Cold Store can be integrated with the compliance for bodies such as the Department of Agriculture, GS1, Food Standards Australia and New Zealand, and the state food authority relevant to your business.

Value Add

Carcasses or cartons can be broken down into various value added products. Vacuum skin packaging (VSP), modified atmosphere packaging (MAP), vacuuming pouches are all compatible with Meat Cold store. We can also manage any additional products for value add (water, ice, additives/ condiments, packaging, etc.) and create new barcodes for the finished value added products.

Recall

If something goes wrong in your supply chain, its important to know where that happened, and be able to efficiently recall contaminated stock. Some of the processes of recall, such as contacting your local food enforcement agency and following your recall plan can be done through Meat Cold Store. We can also help you monitor all recalled stock once it is in your possession, and address traceability issues to help minimise the risk of it happening again.

Temperature Control

Meat Cold Store can help you monitor the various temperature zones you need and which stock should be there. Stock can be assigned cold chain attributes, for example: chiller, freezer, blast freezer, thawing chiller, etc., and there can be unlimited locations and sub locations, for all your temperature needs.
